  • Normally, you need to earn 125,000 qualifying points in a calendar year to qualify for the Southwest Companion Pass. However, Southwest has now effectively reduced that requirement to 100,000 points in 2021.
  • All Rapid Rewards members with accounts active as of December 31, 2020, will be credited with 25,000 Companion Pass qualifying points by the end of January. 
  • When you earn the Companion Pass, it’s valid for the rest of the current year and the entire following year.
