A Tara Air Twin Otter carrying 16 passengers, from Nepal’s Pokhara to Jomsom in Mustang district in adjoining Tibet has crashed near Lete in Nepal.
The Twin Otter was carrying four Indian nationals, two Germans and 11 Nepalis along with three crew members. The last contact was at 9.50 am near Lete Pass.
A Tara Airlines source told The Indian Express that “there has been no word officially on the condition of the passengers, we fear the worst.”
The crew members include a senior instructor pilot, co-pilot and air hostess.
