Jetstar’s first international flight since borders opened in Australia is set to take off Thursday, December 16, from Melbourne to Singapore.
The daily Singapore flights mark the first time Jetstar’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft have taken to the international skies for a commercial flight since 26 March 2020.
From Friday, Jetstar will also commence five weekly flights to Fiji from Sydney.
Jetstar CEO Gareth Evans said this was a huge milestone in Jetstar’s recovery from the pandemic.
“After more than 600 days, we’re really excited to be finally relaunching our international operations, with flights to Singapore and Fiji the first to take to the skies.
