Former Berlin Tegel Airport to Become a COVID-19 Vaccination Center

MIAMI – Although the former Berlin Tegel Airport (BEL) will close its operations as terminal 2 at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), it will remain open for medical purposes. According to Berlin city officials, the closed BEL will now serve as a vaccination center.

German media The Local reported that the medical refitting is due in march. The plan is to boost the capacity of the government to immunize the population against the COVID-19. The same source said that the authorities are establishing at least 60 hubs across the country for the first quarter of 2021.
