DALLAS – Last night, a United Airlines (UA) Boeing 777 serving Flight UA149 from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to São Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) had an engine failure after takeoff.
The fact that it happened on a PW-powered Boeing 777 could be problematic for the type, considering the issues related to the engine after the Flight UA328 incident.
Four minutes after taking off from Denver International Airport (DEN) on February 20, 2021, Flight UA328/UAL328, a scheduled domestic passenger flight experienced an engine failure.
